On cool mornings, if you look out across the landscape from the lush mountainsides of Costa Rica, you can watch the morning sun evaporate the tendrils of mists and clouds that hang in the valleys that slope down to the sea. This verdant, fertile paradise is the perfect location for growing some of the world's finest coffee. Experience the flavors of cool mountain breezes, tropical sunshine, and shady canopies in every sip of this Arrosto Costa Rica Strictly Hard Bean (SHB) single origin whole bean coffee! The trees that produce these coffee beans are grown at high altitudes on dramatic hillsides, shaded by lush, mature canopies. As a result of the cooler temperatures and shade, these coffee beans take longer to mature, which produces beautiful, green coffee beans with few imperfections and a deeply complex flavor!
Once the coffee beans have ripened, they're expertly hand-harvested, washed to remove the cherry that surrounds the bean, then dried in the warm, tropical sunshine. The result is a lively, aromatic coffee with tasting notes of floral jasmine and tart apricots, with a distinctive sweetness and a nutty salted cashew finish. This coffee has a lighter body and a mellow finish for easy drinkability - making it perfect for a daily morning cup and special occasions alike! This coffee's SHB classification indicates that it's grown at an altitude above 1350 meters, an ideal height for growing gourmet coffee. SHB is the highest classification of Costa Rican coffee and indicates that the beans are large and free of imperfections - both casual coffee lovers and seasoned connoisseurs are sure to take notice of this coffee's high quality!
Medium-Light Roast:These coffee beans are roasted to the lighter end of medium to allow their bright character to shine through!
Whole Bean Format:This coffee's whole bean format offers you flexible preparation options, allowing you to brew the perfect cup for any occasion.
This medium-light roast coffee is ideal for pour-over or drip brewing methods. Grind the beans to a medium-fine consistency, then simply pour water 30 seconds off a boil (205 degrees Fahrenheit) over them. You can prepare this coffee in commercial brewers to create large batches to keep on hand for the morning rush, or offer it in an individual pour-over coffee maker for an individualized artisan coffee experience that will please even the most discerning coffee lovers. This coffee is also excellent for creating trendy cold brew! Simply immerse your coffee grounds in cool water and allow to steep for 15 to 18 hours. This long, slow preparation method will allow the bright, floral character of the coffee to bloom across the palate before revealing the mellow, sweet, nutty finish - all while keeping the acidity low for easy drinkability. No matter how you choose to prepare it, serving this Arrosto Costa Rica SHB coffee in your establishment is a testament to your discerning taste that will keep your patrons coming back for more!
